Abbey & Lyndon and the Community

Redditch Borough Under 10s Girls Football Team
We are proud to sponsor Redditch Borough Under 10s Girls Football Team, who compete in the highly competitive Central Warwickshire League. The girls face strong opposition week in, week out and are more than holding their own this season. They’ve already secured impressive wins against Coventry City and Birmingham City.
We’re delighted to have provided the football team with a brand new kit, training tops and jackets and we wish the girls every success for the rest of the season. We’re excited to be part of their journey.
Abbey & Lyndon Sponsors Ladies Open at Redditch Golf Club
We are thrilled to announce another sponsorship opportunity at Abbey & Lyndon. Our commitment to supporting local sports clubs and fostering community engagement has led us to this fantastic collaboration between ourselves and Redditch Golf Club, where we sponsored the recent Ladies Team Open.
This sponsorship shows our commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering community engagement. As we continue to expand our sponsorship initiatives, we very much look forward to continuing to support local initiatives to enable us to contribute positively to the local areas. Well done to all the winners!

Charity Golf Day
Redditch Golf Club opened up the greens for the very first Abbey & Lyndon Charity Golf Day which saw 80 golfers take part in raising money for charity.
The shotgun start event was a great success with a charity auction and a raffle held on the day to raise even more funds, with luxury prizes donated from local businesses including YESSS Electrical who were the main sponsors for the event.
Including money from the auction and donations from local companies and golfers, a total of £3042 was raised towards Macmillan Cancer Support.

Children’s Football Sponsorship
We are now proud sponsors of the Redditch United under 11’s football team.
Working with Worcester Resource Centre (WRE)
Abbey & Lyndon are delighted to be involved with such a great cause, the work Kate & the team carry out really does have a positive effect within the community.

WRE is a creative re-use charity. Running a scrap store, we collect clean and safe waste from local businesses, diverting it from landfill.
Worcestershire Resource Exchange is a registered charity set up as part of the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust to provide inspirational and affordable resources, whilst reducing landfill
WRE ‘s main objectives is to:
- Provide affordable, safe waste materials, advice and training to a wide range of individuals, artists, community groups and schools.
- Provide training, volunteering and work opportunities for students, volunteers, the unemployed and people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Promote re-use and recycling, to reduce the amount of materials going into the waste stream.
- Educate the public, schools, business groups and other organisations about incorporating waste minimisation and recycling, as part of their efforts to reduce their environmental impact.
Supporting the Redditch Scouts with Raffle Donation
We recently received a lovely letter for the local Scouts group that we recently supported.
Dear Dave and all at Abbey and Lyndon
I am writing to say a huge thank you for supporting the top prize of £200 to support our raffle to raise funds for the Redditch Scouts attending the World Scout Jamboree 2019
The raffle was drawn on 23rd June at our summer picnic event and I am pleased to report that the total amount raised via raffle ticket sales was an incredible £3197.
This money will give our scouts a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to America and meet with more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world. the money we are raising also goes towards several training camps across Worcestershire to foster and build relationships with other youth members across the Council area and wider Country. Furthermore, the Scouting program embeds values of diversity, inclusivity, fitness, self-development and social wellbeing for our young people, who all come from varied backgrounds.
Kind Regards
