In this virtual ceremony held on the 11th May, the Master Builder Awards is run by The Federation of Master Builders. The awards are created to recognise high-quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service and building excellence across the UK.
The project category was Medium Renovation Project for the Domestic & Residential Refurbishment of an extension in the Midlands with the award recognising building excellence from all FMB members. This year was particularly tough due to the sheer number of entries received.
The renovation project entailed:
- Rear house extension complete with bi-folding doors and roof lantern
- High end fitted kitchen along with Kardean herringbone flooring
- Large-scale garden renovation complete with slatted cedar cladding, K-rend planters, porcelain slabs and artificial grass.
More details on the garden project can be found here and the Kitchen Renovation here.
Damon Auld, General Manager, commented about winning this prestigious award
“The team at Abbey & Lyndon are absolutely delighted to been announced as winners of the Medium Renovation Project category. To be classed as a master builder within the midlands is such an achievement. Now we cannot wait to attend the awards in September”.
The Federation of Master Builders judges commented on our win “The workmanship and quality of finishes are second to none in this beautifully presented and impressive medium renovation project”.
They also commented how impressed they were over our handling of the delays they faced mid-way through the project due to the pandemic hit. With our effective communications skills and always keeping the client completely in the loop, the project was completed – albeit not to the original timescales.
The client commented, “Abbey & Lyndon were brilliant throughout the project, and we are super pleased with our job”.
