2026 Worksafe

SMAS Accreditation

Abbey & Lyndon are proud to announce we have gained SSIP (Safety Systems in Procurement) accreditation.

We were assessed against the SSIP ‘Core Criteria’ and have been awarded SMAS Worksafe Contractor Accreditation for the 8th year running.

By holding a valid SSIP certificate, this means we have demonstrated our excellent capability by meeting the strict SSIP ‘core criteria’.

The key aim of the SSIP is to reduce the burden and cost of Health & Safety across the construction industry and as part of this, our SMAS Health & Safety certificate demonstrates our key Health & Safety competencies and will also be recognised by the other SSIP members who offer mutual recognition.

ISO 9001 Accreditation

Abbey & Lyndon Builders Ltd have recently achieved the ISO 9001 Certification, recognised worldwide as a demonstration of Quality. The Standard highlights that customer satisfaction is critical to success and that it is imperative for organisations to consistently deliver products and services in accordance with their customer’s needs if they want to maintain success in an ever changing marketplace.

Anni Rizvi, Consultant for QMS International, stated “Abbey & Lyndon were a delight to work with, they had an excellent system in place which meant that section eight, for operations, only needed minor adjustments to achieve full compliance. Any areas of non-conformity that were highlighted were addressed on the spot – with the majority of changes being finalised before the consultation was even complete”.

Of the benefits Abbey & Lyndon can expect to see following certification, Anni explained: “It is clear that their new Quality Management System will play an important role in helping them to increase process efficiency, while also helping them to establish stronger relationships with their staff – which could potentially lead to cost-savings. From a customer perspective, the changes they have made, and the focus on continual improvement, should help them to meet more of their customers’ needs and lead to higher levels of customer satisfaction.”

Trustmark Accreditation

When you see the TrustMark logo you know that business has been thoroughly vetted and regularly had the quality of their work independently inspected to ensure consistent high quality. If a problem arises, there are a number of measures to protect you financially and ensure you always end up with what you paid for. TrustMark values are enforced by documents including the Code of Conduct and Customer Charter, which outline exactly what you can expect when dealing with a Registered Business. TrustMark is the only scheme that includes an integrated Trading Standards disputes process, offering a controlled and reasonable sanctions process if appropriate

FMB Membership Certificate 2026

Federation of Master Builders

The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is a UK trade association established in 1941[1] to protect the interests of small and medium-sized building firms.

The group is independent and non-profit. It works to lobby for members’ interests at both national and local levels. As of 2016, the FMB is the largest construction trade association in the UK, representing over 8,000 construction SMEs.[2]

The FMB aims to provide knowledge, professional advice and support for its members. It works in partnership with other industry companies to provide technical advice and promote high standards.

FMB registered builders demonstrate their quality to the best customers. Unlike other membership organisations, the FMB’s badge of quality must be earned as you must first pass a strict vetting process and independent inspection of your work. This helps reassure clients of your commitment to quality and high standards.
